Avon Park Florida is often called the city with the “mile long mall”.
Running east and west through the center of the Avon Park is a beautifully landscaped mall which is a mile in length. Many events happen on the mall and around the historic gazebo.
At the east end of the mall is Donaldson Park. The park is on the shores of lake Verona and the best place to watch fireworks during the 4th of July celebration in downtown Avon Park.
