Due to work on the city’s water main on Stryker Road, from Irvington Road to Olivia Drive, city water will be shut off on Thursday, April 13th and Friday, April 14th. Avon Park Lakes residents who are on city water may experience pressure issues, varying anywhere from low to no pressure. The city has distributed door tags to the residents in Avon Park Lakes that are under a boil water notice. If you have not received a boil water notice, you do not need to boil your water.
Starting Monday morning (April 17th) the city will be shutting down all of the Stryker Road water main, which will most likely cause the majority of the Avon Park Lakes residences, who are on city water, to have little to no water.
The work on Stryker Road is estimated to last until sometime on Wednesday, April 19th; so, there will be a series of shutdowns while the work is being performed. Stryker Road will be closed from US 27 to Oleander Drive.
