Peace River Center is once again shining a light on mental health by hosting a Community Summit during Mental Health Awareness Month. The event will take place on Friday, May 17 at The Well Lakeland. Check-in will begin at 8:15 am followed by networking and a light breakfast. At 9 am we will begin our program featuring Peace River Center’s mental health experts presenting on a variety of topics including:

• De-escalating and Handling Difficult People by Kirk D Fasshauer, LCSW, FT, Director of Crisis Response Services
• The Importance of Trauma-Informed Care in Everyday Life by Donna Rininger, LMHC, MCAP, Director of Specialty Services
• Dealing with Anxiety of the Unknown, Coping Skills for Navigating Our Changing World by Morgan Whitaker Smith, LMHC, Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Team Leader
