We’re still monitoring PTC 9. Strengthening is expected in the next few days and the system is forecast to become a hurricane on Wednesday.
It is still too early to know the possible impacts to our community. Now is the time to make sure all emergency plans are up to date, supplies are available and equipment is operational.
Things you can do now:
Continue to monitor for updates
Sign up for your community's emergency alerts - http://bit.ly/hcbccalert
If you can pick it up, put it up
Build or restock your emergency kit – include a flashlight, batteries, cash, and first aid supplies
Clean gutters so water flows away from your home
